HOLLYWOOD UNITES

The Hollywood Chamber Community Foundation, in partnership with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, announces its Hollywood Unites Initiative to address the emerging needs of our most vulnerable residents and businesses, alleviate the detrimental economic impact on local employers and their employees, and provide vital resources to our community to help them through these uncertain times created by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to providing relevant COVID-19 online resources and webinars to our community, the Hollywood Unites Initiative is supporting and connecting businesses and nonprofits to meet the pertinent needs of our community. The Hollywood Chamber has connected several larger businesses that currently have underutilized resources to nonprofits in need, including freezer and kitchen space for our food banks and towels to our local YMCA’s free shower program to be utilized by our homeless neighbors. The chamber staff is also assisting the Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council with vital individual outreach to seniors checking in on them, and ensuring they are receiving food and medication.

As part of this Initiative, the Hollywood Chamber Community Foundation has also launched its Hollywood Unites Fund to focus on providing meals to those most vulnerable in our community, while supporting our local businesses and helping to preserve jobs and prevent closures during this economic crisis. Through a collaboration with local restaurants, the Hollywood Chamber’s Foundation will provide the funding to purchase and deliver meals to homebound seniors and homeless college students. A donation to Hollywood Unites will expand our reach and provide more meals to those in need, while helping our businesses keep their doors open.

Unite with us in supporting the Hollywood community and keeping hope alive by donating to the Hollywood Unites Fund.
